Opening Day

Saturday was opening day at the ballpark. Abbie is playing softball for the first time. She is really enjoying it. They tied Saturday and tonight they lost but she got two good hits and scored one time. She plays shortstop and really enjoys it. She was so cute when she scored.

Eli has made lots of friends at the ballpark. This is an older sister of one of Abbie's teammates and she makes an excellent babysitter.

Eli had his 18 month check up today. He is 34" tall (91%) and weighs 26.5 lbs (60%). He is a very healthy boy.

Yum Yum

One of Eli's favorite words is "yum yum". I hate to admit but we have allowed him to do many more things than we would ever have let the girls do. He has had a few DQ orange and vanilla bars. He loves them and eats them down to the stick.

It has been such a blessing having Eli home. He has only been here 3 months but it seems like he has been apart of our life forever. We look forward to many more memories.

Louisville, KY

Isabelle had to have surgery on April 1st and she did a great job. To make it as fun as possible we went over early the day of her pre-op appt and had a Mommy, Daddy, and Issie fun day. It was great to get to spend time just with her. We toured the Louisville Slugger Museum, went to the Children's Museum, and had dinner on the river. I wish we had more time to have these individual special days.

Easter 2008

We had a great Easter. The kids looked so cute in their Easter outfits. We went to Alice's for lunch and my Aunt Belinda's for dinner in Marian. Eli's first Easter was great. He enjoyed hunting for eggs and he had fun seeing all of his cousins. Here he is with his cousing Aiden who is about 2 months younger. I am sure him and Aiden will be good friends. Aiden had to have ear tubes put in yesterday but it sounds like he is doing great. by the look of it AnnaMaria and Eli might end up being friends.

This winter Brian had to buy hay for the animals. We all had fun playing in the stalls and helping unload the trailer. Abbie is a great farm hand. She just got her first 4-H sheep and she has been very good about going out every night to feed it. His name is "Turk". She is afraid it is going to jump over the gate and that her daddy will get mad at her. I remember as a little girl I helped my dad when he was working with his sheep. My job was to stand at the entrance to the barn and to not let them get out. One sheep came running towards me and jumped over my head and got out.

Catching Up

At the request of some friends I am updating our blog so you will find several post today. I figured most had lost interest but it is a great way to stay up to date with family and friends.

Eli enjoys playing with Dylan who is about 1 month older. Dylan's mom and I were out of town for a meeting so Dylan and his dad came over to play (or should we say rough house). They played Eli's favorite game which Brian taught him. They put all of the pillows on the floor and laungh Eli about 7 feet into the air and then he lands on the pillows. It scares me but Eli loves it. Brian thinks Dylan needs to be the running back someday and Eli will block for him. Dylan is very fast.






Clifford was at Isabelle's school when her class sang. Here is her cousin Mackenzie giving Clifford a big hug.

We went to Paducah and spend the weekend with Sharon and her family. Eli had only been home a few weeks but he did great (except for the melt down at Fazoli's - he does not do well eating out or if he misses a nap). AnnaMaria warmed up to Uncle Brian.


Eli is all boy. He is so different than the girls were. He climbs on everything. If you leave his side for more than a few minutes you can generally find him standing on the toilet reaching over to the sink playing in the water. He loves water. If he is ever grumpy I just put him in the bathtub and he can play forever.

Eli's Second American Haircut

We forgot the camera for the first one but we managed to capture the second one. Adam Winkleman is Eli's barber and his first American haircut was on the house. We thought that was so nice.

Eli takes his cousin AnnaMaria cruising in the Barbie jeep. Abbie and Isabelle taught him how to drive this winter. He loves it. It provides great entertainment when we are working in the basement.
