Farm Fun

Eli enjoys being outside. He has enjoyed all of the animals and daddy enjoys having him help feed on warm days.








Eli loves golf cart rides so we know he will fit right in. Grandpa Great took him for a Kaboda ride and he he enjoyed that also.

Eli and AnnaMaria playing with Little People. AnnaMaria is one day older than Eli but due to the time change they could have been born on the same day.





The last 3 weeks have been wonderful! It seems like Eli has been home much longer than that. It feels like he has always been apart of our family. In our heart he has. We decided to adopt right around the time Eli was born and we have been praying for him ever since even though we had no idea what he looked like, where he lived, or even if he was born yet. It is amazing how God knows and puts you with the right child.

Eli has adjusted well. He is sleeping all night, takes two good naps per day, and loves playing with all of us. He says a few words but we are catering to him a little too much so he doesn't have to talk to get what he wants. We think he has some kind of allergies as his face has been breaking out but outside of that he is doing fine.

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home Thursday didn't go as planned with the winter storm that came through Illinois but we all made it home safe and sound Friday night around 8pm. Thursday night the girls and I did get to welcome Eli home in Chicago. It was so great when that motel room door opened and we saw Brian and Eli by his side. He was so happy and glad to see us. We had a great time playing and he slept good. He did wake up a few times during the night but he was always so happy. One time he said "mama" and kissed me and then turned to Brian and said "papa".

Brian was a real trooper on their return flights. He ran into so many nice people that helped him along the way. Eli spend most of the flight from Germany to Chicago crying so that is very trying. We took him to the ER on our way home and he has a severe ear infection (most likely both ears but the first one was so bad the doctor didn't even look in the other one). We also noticed our vehicle was not driving properly so Brian checked the wheel and it was very loose. We found a GM dealership and they put a new tire rod on. God was watching out for us that it did not break when the girls and I were on our way up. Finally we made it home and Eli had fun exploring his new house. He went to bed real easy last night and sleep for four hours before waking up. He went back to sleep shortly and we all slept till 8:40am!

Eli got to meet most of his grandparents and Aunt Mary, Uncle Adam, Mackenzie and Aiden Saturday. He will meet his other aunts, uncles, and cousins tomorrow.

It is so awesome we are finally a family of 5! We have waited for this so long, it is hard to believe he is finally home forever. Again, thank you for all of the prayers. We felt them and know they helped everything go so smoothly.
